2009 AUSA Conference

Venue & transport

The main conference venue is the atmospheric Refectory on the ground floor of the Holme Building on the Camperdown Campus of the University of Sydney. The Holme Building is near the university end of the footbridge over Parramatta Road, diagonally behind the sandstone Quadrangle with its famous jacaranda tree. Access to the Refectory is from Science Road. See map reference 14D on the searchable online map.

A Camperdown Campus guide map can be downloaded from the University website.

Public transport information for accessing the University of Sydney is also available on the University website. The nearest bus stop to the Holme Building is at the footbridge on Parramatta Road. For more detailed public transport information, try the Transport Info website. They have a guide for buses stopping at Sydney University.

Delegates staying at Rydges Camperdown can walk down Parramatta Road as far as the Ross Street gates, enter campus and then proceed up Science Road. Delegates staying at Medina Classic Chippendale can walk across Victoria Park from the corner of Cleveland Street and City Road, or enter the Darlington Campus from Shepherd Street and cross to Camperdown Campus via the City Road footbridge.
