Pre-conference Workshop: Managing the crisis and the critical first 72 hours

The cost of this workshop is $195. Please register via the registration page. There are limited places, so please book early!

About the workshop

There has been a catastrophic incident; people were hurt and a lot of property was damaged. The University responded well. Working closely with emergency services, you contained the situation and evacuated the injured. As the dust settles you turn your mind to recovery...

What do you do first?

The interactive workshop will explore the crucial early stages of recovery from a catastrophic incident. Participants will immerse themselves in a scenario and work with others to resolve the situation. Throughout the session they will hear expert advice from workshop panel members on developing business resilience, risk management, crisis communication, social media, media management and the importance of leadership, organisational culture and communication. The workshop will also allow participants to discuss these issues with an expert panel.
