Chair - Kathy Shepherd

Education - B. App. Science Occupational Therapy, Diploma in Safety Science and Certificate in Governance and Risk Management.

I have over 20 years experience in workers compensation, safety and wellbeing.  Commencing my career as an Occupational Therapist providing occupational rehabilitation and workers compensation advice to a variety of industries I then moved into Health Safety and Wellbeing (HSW).  In the area of HSW I have worked in a variety of industries including education, retail, manufacturing, aviation, mining and finance. Strengths including being technically competent and practical in my approach to developing and implementing worker compensation early intervention programs and Health and Safety programs. I work with all areas of the business from Senate/Board, management to workers to develop and implement systems.

Serving as the WA Chair for AUSA I aim to bring the WA Universities together to share successes and challenges thus aiming to improve Health Safety and Wellbeing in our sector for all.
