There has been an increase in digital behavioural intervention programs to help reduce modifiable health risk factors such as obesity and lack of exercise. Engagement in these programs is critical to achieving successful behaviour change and improvements in health. However, despite the growing application and adoption of technology in health interventions, engagement deterioration or non-usage attrition persists. In this talk, we present recent results and discuss the potential of AI to improve effectiveness of the digital health programs as well as user retention.
